Enduring the heartbreak but never dimming hope has brought her full circle with her present goals for her life. She has a new and strong focus combining her passionate music and story to make a difference in areas of need that make the world a more compassionate place.

Maree's release of her album “Urgency” prompted her to perform at medical conferences across the country and offering solace to parents of chronically ill children. She also taught a Making Choices program in women's prisons and is including in her upcoming tours for 2019 continuing to speak and sing her inspiration to those incarcerated. Included in her 2019 goals is introducing Music Expression classes into youth shelters, working to expand the limitations of the Die with Dignity laws and breaking the stigma of mental illness, suicide and addiction. Her primary focus is to support and strengthen the members of society that are typically forgotten and shunned, as she believes we are all connected and we are all great teachers to each other.

“I've learned the most in my life, from those that are the most vulnerable and have suffered greatly -I find it appalling the abuse of where money goes and how we want to turn away from our brothers and sisters and children who need the support the most, I intend to make whatever difference I can make with my new organization and through my story and my songwriting.”

At the top of her passion is her new non-profit organization called HeartMindConnect. The organization will focus on improving the community resources for support of those suffering with mental illness. Changing the conversation of how society views and stigmatizes mental illness both in communities and in the healthcare industry. By focusing on the connection between heart conscious living and mental illness suffering, the organization will be striving to improve the vital human connection so greatly needed in the mental health community and the world we live in today. She aims to also work on supportive living accommodations for those struggling with mental illness and having community “benches” where those needing friendship and support can be listened to without judgment or prejudice. In her presentations there will also always be time for a public forum on feedback and needs others have experienced, so she can work to bring those to legislature.

Book Maree for mental health presentations now and hear how her heartfelt life story through song and words can be a source of great comfort to those suffering and the loved ones of mental illness. Our mental health systems are in deep crisis and Maree is now speaking out as a forefront in mental health advocacy work. May the much needed conversation and end of silence continue to strengthen. Listen to her voice and SPEAK YOUR MIND and URGENCY for the time is now.
